Your description of the elegant 16th arrondissement brought back memories, as my partner and I stayed there a long time ago on the rue St. Didier in a budget hotel that has since been torn down. I think hourly car rental is another excellent greener way of getting around. Within Paris I have no need for a car, but it’d be nice to have easy access to one for certain errands or trips out. I see that they have started an hourly rental / car sharing system called <a href="http://www.okigo.com/index.php" rel="nofollow">Okigo</a> at 4€/hour (120 € annual fee). I’ve not tried it yet, but it doesn’t seem as widespread as the US system. Of course there have been reports of stealing and vandalism of the bikes. I saw a picture of a Vélib in a fountain the other day!! However, to rent a bike you leave a deposit of 150 € so I guess it should make some people think twice before destroying them?! I think hourly car rental is another excellent greener way of getting around. Within Paris I have no need for a car, but it’d be nice to have easy access to one for certain errands or trips out. I see that they have started an hourly rental / car sharing system called Okigo at 4€/hour (120 € annual fee). I’ve not tried it yet, but it doesn’t seem as widespread as the US system.

Of course there have been reports of stealing and vandalism of the bikes. I saw a picture of a Vélib in a fountain the other day!! However, to rent a bike you leave a deposit of 150 € so I guess it should make some people think twice before destroying them?! Being a man who was in a long term relationship I can't agree more with the comments that have been left and hope that you two will find the way to make it work. Being a couple is always a struggle and it takes two to make it work and the best advice I can give as I have said on my show too many times is to be able to communicate to each other and not to be afraid to do so. My ex refused to communicate and it began to hurt me that after being with him for so long that he didn't trust me enough to tell me what he was going through at the time. That is why I have made a huge effort not to make the same mistakes with my love of my life Joe - he shows me each day in small ways how much he cares for me and have talked about it in my show.
