Nik what a great podcast, sounded like you were live from the French Quarter in New Orleans while you were cutting cheese for Bruno! Sounds like you guys had a nice romantic evening. The tunnel sounds (and the toilet cast) was also interesting. It was nice to catch up with you and hear about what’s been going on. I also love the Pet Shop Boys!
Take Care

by Archerr on Monday 18 June 2007 at 4:01 CETHi Nik,
Juliet and I listened to your podcast yesterday morning in bed! We had an hour or so of time to ourselves once Delphine had decided she didn’t want feeding anymore and that she might actually go to sleep!
Thanks for your congrats, Delphine has already made it on to the www!!!
Also enjoyed your chunnel-cast… and found the bit you did from the toilet highly amusing!
Talk soon,
James
Nik:
Listened to your podcast on my way to French class. It was a good motivational tool. We learned all about the passe compose. Also, thanks for the shout out. Looking forward to meeting you in Paris.
Thanks for taking the trouble to record a show from the Eurostar. It was fun. Now if you’d done like some other podcasters who do shows in toilets….
by Richard on Tuesday 19 June 2007 at 18:44 CETI loved this show, Nik. Binaural recordings–I had to look around to make sure someone wasn’t someone in the room talking to me in French….
I once saw a documentary on the construction of the tunnel, but I’m glad you added the other facts to kind of “round out” the picture. I’m with Archerr–it sounds intriguing, but being that far underground AND under water? Hm, I’d have to think about that.
Glad to hear that you and Bruno are working through things.
Look forward to your next podcast!
by Arthur (AmeriNZ) on Wednesday 20 June 2007 at 22:03 CETAbsolutely fascinating! I loved this podcast. Loved hearing the boarding announcements and the sound of the train as it whooshed along. You’ve got a creative mind and spirit that allows us all to experience things that we may never get to otherwise. Thanks for allowing us to “be there” with you. Your friend in life…..
