Lewis, of the Spirit of Saint Lewis, brought this to my attention and I thought it was worth sharing. The French association AIDES has been running the following posters during the presidential election campaign to draw attention to the exclusion experienced by HIV-positive people in France.
The posters show the three main candidates for the French Presidential election, left to right [politically as well as graphically], Ségolène Royal, François Bayrou and Nicolas Sarkozy, with the caption:
Would you vote for me if I was HIV-positive?
It’s AIDS that needs to be excluded [from France], not people with AIDS
There have also been similar posters showing famous people from French TV and theatre.
